Splatter
Card Instructions
NOTE: Masking technique using Frightfully Fun and Sweet as Sugar stamp sets taken from Mischelle Smith's artwork.
Supplies:

Sponge daubers x 3
·
Re-inkers: Smokey Plum, Honey, Lagoon
·
Card and envelope: 5 by 7 (colonial white)
·
Cardstock: 5 x 7 in Colonial White
·
Bling: purple
·
Paper towel
·
Stamps: Sweet as Sugar and Frightfully Fun
·
Watercolor pencils

Paper scraps: Laughing Lola, Avonlea, Honey
cardstock, Colonial White cardstock (see sizes below)
Instructions:
·
Add about 5 drops or re-inker in about 1 tsp of
water – just enough to saturate the tip of the sponge dauber (do 1 color at a
time)
·
Dip sponge dauber in water and re-inker mixture
to totally saturate sponge
·
Dab sponge dauber onto Colonial White cardstock to create splatter
·
If needed, tap or swirl sponge in center to
ensure center is colored
·
If desired, re-do splatter to create bigger
splatter by repeating above steps in same spot
·
To prevent colors from bleeding together, dab
splatter with a paper towel
·
Repeat with remaining colors
·
Rinse sponge daubers under water in tap if
desired
·
Decorate card using:
Ø
Avonlea: 0.5 by 2.5 (or zip strip)
Ø
Laughing Lola: 0.5 by 2.25 (or zip strip) and
0.75 by 2
Ø
Honey: 2 by 7
Ø
Avonlea/Laughing Lola: 1 7/8 by 6 7/8

Stamp Sweet as Sugar containers on Colonial
White scrap (stamp two of each so you can mask)
·
Cut out containers and mask of each container
·
Stamp Frightfully Fun creatures to use as a mask
(stamp two masks for each creature)
·
Mask the containers and stamp a Frightfully
creature into the container
·
Use creature masks to fill container with the creature
·
Color using watercolor pencils
Color using watercolor pencils
·
Attach containers to front of card
