Christmas Card Class

I used the Christmas paper pack in the new mini catalogue, shimmer trim, buttons, various Christmas stamps, ribbon, and the first page of the paper pack from the Christmas paper in the main catalgoue. We will make 5 of each of the above cards for a total of 20 cards. The class will include 20 - 5 by 7 card bases, envelopes, and all of the supplies needed with the exception of adhesive (that you supply). I will have all of the paper cut and organized so hopefully we can finish all of the cards in 3 hours. The class will be in November (early in the month so you can get the cards in the mail). The fee for the class will be $35. Let me know if you are interested. For those of you in my card club, check your email for a special discount.

CTMH Frame Workshop on the Go

I love doing the CTMH Workshops on the Go. I have been slowly collecting them but haven't had a chance to try one out. A few weekends ago I spent all of my free time completing my Workshop on the Go projects. This one took about an hour and a half from start to finish. It was very easy and I am so happy with how it turned out. Now I just need to print some photos to add....

Card Challenge #1

The first card challenge was emailed to card club participants. Here are pictures of the samples.

This picture demonstrates how a card template can be modified to create a scrapbook page. I shifted the long rectangular strips of paper to the left to make room for two 4 x 6 photos. The paper is Avonlea with Smokey Plum cardstock.

This is more similar to the original sketch but it is shifted horizontally. Shown with Later Sk8r paper and Pear, Lagoon, and Daisy White cardstock.

June Card Club Projects

These are the cards for June. The Father's Day card is made using Later Sk8r paper and Lagoon and Pear inks. The Thanks a bunch card uses the stamp of the month for June, Chantilly paper, and Twilight, Pear, and Black ink. Alcohol ink markers and glitter gel were also used.

Exploding Picture Box

Exploding Picture Box class: $20
(includes all supplies needed to complete the project and instructions so you can make more on your own).

I will be holding a special project class where we will create this exploding picture box. It holds 25 photos (if you place a picture in each square) and is perfect for displaying on a coffee table or shelf. If you don't have 25 pictures, you can decorate some of the squares with stamped images and embellishments.

It's great for a wedding, birthday, or Christmas gift. You could give an empty picture box but I think it works a little better if  it includes the photos.

Please bring 25 photos (all will need to be cropped). If you have the following supplies, please bring them: paper trimmer, cutting mat, exacto knife, scoreboard, embossing stylus, and scissors. If you do not have the above supplies, we can take turns using mine.

May Card Club Projects

All projects were made using Avonlea paper - I love this paper. It is my absolute favorite! For card club members, please choose two of the above projects to make in our May gathering. If we have time, we will also make a small milk carton project.

Preparing for the First Stamp Group

All of the materials have arrived and I am starting to prepare for the first stamp club meeting by cutting the paper and dividing the materials into kits. We will be making a card and a card box. Everyone can also choose to make either an additional card or a scrapbook page.

Close to my Heart

As of April 1st, 2013, I am a Close to my Heart consultant. I love the products and use them in my scrapbooking, card making, and craft designing. I'm so excited to be able to share my love of stamping and crafting with others. This blog will feature projects that I have created using Close to my Heart products. We will be making some of the projects in the monthly card club and others in workshop classes.
